Dolores's Story
Life
Check Dolores R. Spikes on the web.
Currently, President Emeritus of the Southern University and A&M College System, Retired President of the University of Maryland Eastern Shore(relatively short stint there, before leaving upon doctor's advice). Medical condition stable and ready to work again! Doing consulting and inspirational, motivational speaking, or talks on higher education topics of many kinds. Partial to leadership development beyond the usual "canned" variety.
Skilled in planning and assessment. Participated in regional and national higher education organization conferences.
What did I miss most? Teaching and mathematical research, my really true love; but hard for me to say "no" when called upon for service deemed critical elsewhere
within the University. SOooo..., don't be surprised if you see me in a classroom in about a year or so, God willing.
